The work

What RWB tows

Towing at RWB covers three situations. A vehicle that will not move because it is buried or sitting on ice. A vehicle parked somewhere it should not be, on property you are responsible for. And a vehicle that is fine but simply needs to get from one address to another.

Cars, trucks and equipment all go on the truck. Because RWB is open 24 hours and provides 24-hour emergency services, a tow is not limited to business hours, which matters most in winter when the problem usually turns up at the wrong end of the night.

If the vehicle is stuck because of a storm, say so on the phone. Snow work and towing are the same operation here, so one call can cover getting the vehicle out and getting the surface underneath it cleared.

Winter

Towing and snow work go together

Most of the winter towing calls RWB gets are really snow problems wearing a different hat.

A vehicle stuck in the snow

Wheels spinning at the end of a driveway, a car sitting on packed ice, a van that got as far as the bottom of a hill. Getting it out is a tow, and the surface it was sitting on usually needs clearing afterwards so the same thing does not happen again that night.

A vehicle blocking the plow

One car in the wrong spot can stop a whole parking lot from being plowed. Handling both the tow and the snow removal means the lot does not have to wait for two different companies to show up in the right order.

Coverage

Towing across NYC and Long Island

Towing runs across the five boroughs, Nassau County and Suffolk County. City work and Long Island work are different problems, mostly because of how much room there is to get a truck alongside the vehicle.

When you call about a tow, the useful details are where the vehicle is, what it is, and whether anything is in the way. If you are unsure whether the address is in range, call 347-517-9920 and ask.

Questions

Towing questions

Do you tow at night?

RWB is open 24 hours and provides 24-hour emergency services, so towing is not restricted to business hours.

Can you pull a vehicle out of the snow?

Yes. Vehicles stuck in snow or sitting on ice are a normal winter call. Since RWB also handles snow removal, the surface underneath can be cleared at the same visit.

Can you remove a vehicle parked where it should not be?

Yes, on property you are responsible for. Blocked driveways, blocked loading areas and cars left in a private lot are the usual reasons people call.

What kinds of vehicles do you tow?

Cars, trucks and equipment. When you call, describing the vehicle and where it is sitting is the fastest way to get the right setup sent out.

Do you tow on Long Island as well as in the city?

Yes. Towing covers all five New York City boroughs plus Nassau County and Suffolk County, the same as every other RWB service.
